Hi Guys As many here will know, despite having heated grips and handguards, fingertips still freeze. My problem is that I much prefer gloves with plenty of feel. The winter gloves I've tried on in shops feel like really bulky ski gloves and won't give much feel around the grips and levers. Is there a thinner glove which will keep fingertips warm?
I have the same problem. Spent over an hour in the store trying on different gloves even £200 ones. Didn't like any of them. In the end I went old school and bought some silk inner gloves to wear inside my normal RST gloves. Perfect. And more versatile. But I don't ride in winter conditions (I'm a 3 season biker) so it won't suit everyone.
I use heated gloves during winter. Mine are Gerbing gloves & I combine them with a heated jacket that I wear under my leathers. The leads from the gloves connect to leads from the heated jacket sleeves and I have a temperature controller that enables me to select different heat settings for gloves & jacket independent of each other. Power is taken from the bike's battery, but I believe the latest gear has options to use rechargeable batteries to power the kit. There are other makes of heated equipment, I've had my kit for 5 years now & it works well for me.
I had some of these. Impressively soft and loads of feel, but I was concerned about the level of protection they'd give, they didn't feel all that sturdy. Someone else liked 'em too...they nicked 'em
We`ve started to stock Five Gloves. The Touring GT2 WP is just what you are after I think: GT2 WP - FIVE
Last year I bought some Keiss heated inner gloves that can either be powered by attaching to the bike battery or by a separate rechargeable unit that fits in your pocket. They seem to work really well as they enabled me to use relatively lightweight gloves and the elements warm much more of your hand than heated grips.
i like furygan land gel gloves they are not too bulky and carry some glove liners for when it gets really nippy
I have a pair of these Used them for the first time this year on Saturday and they are good, it was reading In the minus on my ride to work ALPINESTARS STORM RIDER GORE-TEX LEATHER MOTORCYCLE GLOVES WATERPROOF MOTORBIKE GLOVE BLACK MEDIUM M J&S: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike
Have a look at Richa Extreme GTX. Just started using them and a good balance of feel vs insulation. The are Goretex with the x-trafit and use Knox Handroid licensed protection on the palms which I know from my regular gloves is a good design. I've been in very low temps with these since the winter set in and so far, easily the best winter gloves I've had.
Yesterday I couldn't feel my fingers, but spending £150 on a pair of gloves would make my head numb. they look good but that's too expensive for me.
old wives tail try latex gloves inside your normal gloves, meant to make your hands sweat thus keeping warmer
Use halvarsons waterproof gloves, I hate bulky winter gloves, use them with heated grips and hand guards and I suffer white finger syndrome ( tabs) if I'm not careful these do the job
Xmas wifey brought me a pair of RST Titanium Outlast gloves. The size fitted good. Took the bike out today just to see if they were warm. It was a cold day, snow earlier in the day. A warm glove, fingers etc all good. Got something called Hipora, a breathable and waterproof lining, no rain when I was out so, unable to comment. I've not much experience with 'winter' bike gloves, but I am happy. Yes, you loose that feel, but I just tired of cold fingers.
Just a heads up, ordered a pair myself, only in XL and XXL now. Motorcycle Glove - Black/Grey : SealSkinz™ Thermal Motorbike Gloves
