Non Standard Loud Exhaust's In Europe?

Mivv decat + BR baffle + Termi Stubby last year to Poland and back... No problems, and that isn't "quiet". I can't vouch for this year though. :-(

 

Did a tour in july and although I had my baffles in the cut down termi is still loud and never had any problems, I think aslong as your not being an idiot and tearing through the towns and villages you'll be fine ......enjoy, cant wait to go back next year

 

Last year with straight through race pipes (no idea of make) through France Switzerland and Italy with no problems. I must admit I was expecting trouble at the Swiss border at Basel as the border control is followed by a wonderfully accoustic tunnel and I was expecting the border guards to have radiod ahead that some noisy b*stard was on the way, but it was all paranoia. In Italy I pulled up for petrol next to a police bike and he just congratulated me on my choice of bike . And this year in the Ardennes the local speed trap ociffers just signalled me to slow down a bit on the way into the town (which I was doing anyway and must have been obvious). Unless you give them other just cause to stop you, you should be fine :smile:.

hi david d just asking with the mivv decat + br baffle do you still have the exhaust valve butterfly in the system or is it disconnected thinking off doing this on mine

 

Hi Mike, you disconnect the cable, as the Mivv decat gets rid of the exhaust valve completely. What you do is pop a spring on the end...there is a photo I posted on this site in another thread... I had this set up from almost new, but recently changed to a QD system....yes, that means there is a Mivv decat pipe and BR (mark 1, not the later more restrictive ones) sitting in my garage that I keep meaning to put up for sale on fleabay... Anyway, yes, to decat means to get rid of the valve. The spring solution stops the error message, as the cable still works. It just doesn't actuate anything!

If you're worried about Switzerland as many seem to be, buy your vignette in France rather than wait til you get to the border. They're less likely to refuse you. My brother's had no problems with his 1098/full race system, despite it sounding like Thor farting...
