Norton F1 replica

  1. I was just reading about this bike in Classic motorcycle Mechanics. I always liked the Norton F1 racers and I think this looks really good. He will make them to order.

    NORTON F1 750 cc F1

    Something a bit different...

  2. Isn't it a bit like that Yamaha R1 painted to look like a Ducati, though..?

Bike looks good, but...I'm not a purist, but that don't seem right to me.

  3. How weird!

Surely a massive part of the Norton was it's engine? ....

  4. Bit like a Ferrari replica that is really a Toyota MR2 . Bit Naff IMO

  5. Wrong IMO - I'm with Fig on this.

I'm not a fan of wanna-be's at all, and I'd rather have the Yam 750 in its standard form.

Imagine how embarrassing it would be explaining to interested people that it was really a Yamaha

  6. Wouldn't be so bad if it had a Yamaha sticker on the tank instead of Norton. It's a fine-looking bike after all.

  7. So a bit like Stuart Garner having to explain that the 2012 Norton TT racer is really an Aprilia, then?

  8. Looks like an old Suzuki Slabside with that fat arse

  9. Except he was in denial and its was a Norton....................................right:rolleyes:

  10. Not convinced personally, its so incredibly different to the real deal.....

  11. Yes but for 5k you get a good , checked over, old parts replaced for new and something different according to mcn...news where's that Chinese dealership I was looking for... Only joking

  12. I think it's a cracking bike. But putting a Norton badge on it is wrong.

  13. You pays your money - you make your choice of course - bit it is not right really ! I had a good few years with Norton Rotaries, never manged an F1, but LOTS of miles on a Commander and lots of fun getting an old Interpol ll back on the road. They are superb engines, such an elegant design. I used to tell folk that all this up-stop-down-stop stuff would never catch on, how crude it was compared to the round and round and round kit. Wrong again of course !
