  1. Just wondered what brand of oil you use in your duke.

    I know that Ducati are in bed with Shell but I found that, on recommendation from Opie Oils in Cornwall, Motul is much cheaper.

    I got 4L of the shell advance ultra 4 equivalent for £25 instead of £36 for shell.

    Changed the filter for a K&N one too.

    What do you use?

  4. Looks like I might be trying motul 300v and I run k&n oil filters too. Currently running shell advance but only because I got a bottle when I bought the bike.
    It was running thicker motul stuff after its last service and it ran really nice at high rpm but I tickle it mostly so swapped it back to the usual shell.

    Right, just checked and 50 notes for 300v? Might not at that price.

    But yeah, it's not cheap, worth it long-term tho

  6. The Motul I have is the 5100 15w50. Cost £25 for 4 litres from Opie oils.

    Can fault them. Just googled the oil and the average is £9.99 for a litre.

  7. The guy who services mine will only use Motul 300V and he used to race 748's.
