Selling my 2008 Ducati 848 as I just don’t get time to ride her. Lovely bike, in really good condition which is reflected by the very low mileage of just 6389! Is mostly original, apart from carbon front mudguard, rear hugger(both quality IImberger parts) and exhaust heat guard, Hel brake lines and silicone coolant hoses. Last year I sourced a new old stock black rear swingarm and had this replaced with the original as I prefer the look of a black one to the stock aluminium one, which has been polished. Still have the original, which will be included in sale. While this was done, all the suspension linkages and bearings were inspected and greased. Also a new DID chain and sprocket kit fitted and new front and rear Brembo SR brake pads. Just been MOTed and expires May 2024. All the MOT mileage history stacks up with current mileage. About a year ago, had a full “Desmo” service, which includes a good check over, all fluids and filters changed, new timing belts fitted and valve clearance check(belts and valve check are done every 5 years). Also a leak down test was done with good results. All this work carried out by Ducati Pro Team at a cost of £621(see pic). There are some breaks in the service history(see pic), where the bike has just not been used, hence the very low mileage and very clean condition. Tyres are Pirelli Rosso Corsa, in good condition. I did do a track day last year on it, which was awesome, bike handles really nice! So you will notice the tyres have had track use. So here comes the bad bit…. It is a Cat D (see report in pic) was bodywork damage with OEM parts used when repaired. Don’t let this put you off as it’s a great low mileage bike in really clean condition and rides really nice. Any questions or viewings, just ask. If you want to discuss anything, message me and I will give you my number.
GLWS - great price Looking at the paperwork........oddly enough I know Phil at Biketech and was In Newquay son Monday!
£5000. Forgot to mention in ad, the forks have been refreshed with quality new bushes and seals from Brook Suspension. While they were apart, checked for straightness with V blocks and DTI gauge, all within service limit.
I know, it’s a well sorted, clean 848. Just has that Cat D label on it, which I suppose puts people off a bit… Im only selling it as I have other bikes, and could do with some more room in my garage. Plus the wife’s giving me a hard time for having “too many bikes”!
Ok. Im getting tired of silly low ball offers from Ebay. Would much rather it go to a forum member. £4700 anyone??
Gorgeous bike, can't believe nobody has taken it off you! I'd have it but I've got too many bikes and too little money
Didn’t realise at the time, but put it up for too much at the start. I think it’s more realistically priced now though, unless anyone thinks I’m still dreaming???
It's the CAT D bit that puts people off, although I think at £4700 you should have some buyers. I just sold my 2015 CBR1000RR in lovely original condition for £3750 as a quick sale, it was CAT N but would have been worth £5500 if it wasn't. The person that bought it uses it as a track bike and will probably break it and sell it on as spares to make more money on it.
