1199 Oberon Led Indicators Fitting?

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Reubinio, Dec 24, 2016.

  1. Hi, bit embaressing asking this. I have Oberon Mini LED indiactors, I thought would be a staight swap with my rear indicators (1199) but they are not working. More over the original now do not work either. I have checked the fuses (4) and all ok. However, if I take out the 15amp fuse and put back in (far right of right side fuse box) the original indicators then work again? Front indicators work fine. Bit confused as this should be really simple. As a newbie owner am I missing something here? Thanks

  2. Could you post a pic as to how you've wired them?
Fuse box configuration would help too:)

  4. Hadn't realised you'd cut the ends off.
I'd have thought the solid was the live, did you put a wire tester on before cutting?

  5. Yes solid is live, I believe the Oberon are polarity sensitive so you no harm done swapping over until you get the right feed. I know you can get the resistors but that is just for current/blinking speed. Really not sure what the problem is. Weird.

  6. Sorted. No idea how but they decided to work today. Only tip I can give to anyone having same issue is perhaps turning ignition off/on resets the circuit or something?
