Ognibene Silent Running Sprockets

  1. Has anyone used these sprockets before? Looking for people's opinions...

I'm gonna be getting a 14T front and just looking at the different options out there.

  2. That's an interesting find, never seen them before. Not much dearer than other makes so might be worth a punt. I gotta admit though, in my 20 years of riding I've never thought my sprockets seemed noisey so let us know of any difference they make if you get some.

  3. Yer they seem very well priced, much the same as renthal, Afam etc so could be worth a try. Only thing is they seem new and unproven... Hence why I'm seeing if anyone else has any info on how these are.

From what I can see there'd be more noise generated from the chain rubbing on the swing arm slider (when running a 14T sprocket) than the sprockets them selfs

  4. Interesting find. That said if you can hear your sprockets I'm guessing your pipes aren't loud enough!

  6. Hi Jason

We used to source Ognibene chain & sprocket kits from "Bike Torque racing" the kits were made up of Japanese chains (not Chinese rubbish) and standard sprockets , these were BTR's budget option below Afam & Afam performance, they have now dropped this brand and offer DID kits with Afam option, no answers were given when I asked why but BTR used to buy the raw product, add a good chain and package themselves, we never had a fitting issue although the whole setup seamed clunky until the grease worked its way in from the chain,
Ring bike torque racing upload_2016-4-6_20-7-20.png and ask them what ther'e returns volume was like and why they dropped the brand,

    May help with inside knowledge

    Andy
