We hit a deer in France in the car a few years ago. Completely unavoidable, we were only travelling at 40mph ish and it suddenly appeared from trees at the side of the road & shot across right in front of us. £750 worth of damage.
Drove through Glen Coe last year at about 1.00 in the morning and never seen as many deer in my life, sure enough as we went over the top somebody had hit one and gone off the road.
A mate of mine down the pub last week offered me 8 legs of venison for £40, I told him to sod off it was too dear !
Hit a monkjack on my birthday in 2011 when riding upto Brum on my Zx7. Though I'd missed it, but hit it on the side of the head at 60-70mph with the rear break pedal. Snapped the rearsets off the frame, blew up the rear caliper and bent both pads inwards which bound onto the rear disc. I'm guessing I killed it outright, I didn't go and check as I was far too glad to still be upright and in the land of the living. £300 plus in damages, happy birthday
