After changing out my leaking fork seals after 1 season of track riding I found the oil in really bad condition.
if your track riding then i would suggest changing after 6 months as a minimum then, most professional teams change the oil after every session. The hydraulic oil has a hard life in a fork tube and oil is cheap.
