1200 Ohlins Fork Service

  1. Had to Replace a leaky fork seal yesterday as my bike is due an MOT.
Decided to re-fresh both legs even though they were done less than a year ago by my dealer when I had new bushes fitted. This is 13000 miles later.

The oil is full of minute particles of aluminium given it a sheen. I am going to get some coffee filters today so I can see how much metal there is,

  2. Then what?

  3. I remember getting my first Ohlins set with the current bikes PS/996 but then someone burst the bubble & said Ohlins need more servicing than showa units.

  5. Good work. How many km/miles did you had on it? My fork's oil is usually a bit clearer than the one the pic

  6. I just wanted to see how much metal was in the oil, less weight= More speed.:D
