Hi folks, have any of you guys fitted the monster 1100s Ohlins and radial callipers? I know the forks fit the standard yoke and clamp, but wondered if there were any issues fitting the calliper, I know it's not possible with the standard wheels, I have alpina wheels and standard discs fitted to my bike. very close to doing this and wonder if there were any issues to consider. cheers Gogs
Sorry Gogs, can't help you with those particular mods. I have Hyperpro progressive fork springs & they work well on the poorly surfaced rural rounds where I live. Still running standard brakes, but I may upgrade to a 1098 master cylinder at some point as I understand this can improve feel. My bike currently has 5-spoke Marchesini wheels with 749R disc rotors at the front.
Thanks for the reply. I'm running ST4S Showa forks and 999S callipers at the moment with Alpina wheels must admit it transformed the bike big time!! I'm going down the Ohlins root etc as the bike is a keeper for me so would rather spend the money on it then change it! Planning to get the puk induction kit from intake express as well:biggrin: got some feed back from the Ducati.MS forum but not straight answers those guys aren't that helpful if I'm honest going to stop using that forum!! Cheers Gogs
[ Very nice Are they monster 1100s forks or the monster s4r?? Did you have to change the standard discs?? Love the mono blocks think I'll bee having them as well! ?QUOTE=bolds;177855]oh dear glad i never fitted them to mine  View attachment 16442 [/QUOTE]
Sorry for a slight off topic but I heard that brakes from Aprilia RSV fit almost perfectly - you only have to mill a coupe of millimiters on mounting tabs on the calliper and job done.
This is really useful, I'll look into it. Been trying to find a way of sorting the brakes out without having to do anything drastic. There is a place in the states that does a bracket so you can fit most standard 65mm callipers with the standard wheels buy the cost silly money.
