Ohlins Vs Radial Brakes

  1. Bit of weird question here as always.
Would you choose a set of non radial Ohlins forks over a set of radial Showa forks?

  2. Gotta be the ohlins, hasnt it?

  3. You can put what internals you like in either. Some on here swear by KTech and I'm very happy with my Ohlins externals with KTech internals. I've ridden bikes with both set ups and I wouldn't change my 2001 748R 4 pad set up on my track bike for radials. Andy

  4. Always shied away from ohlins forks because they blow seals.
Known weakness for years. Any top shelf manufacturer that doesn't sort that out pdq is slack imho.
The road forks are nowhere near the track equip quality, they are machined well externally though and look well. I would have them on my bikes if I had the tools and knowledge to rebuild forks myself.
Radial brakes are just a fashion thing, no real advantage on the road and I believe are heavier exactly where you want to shed weight.
