Picked up a set of 1098S ohlins yokes/bearings cheap on eBay...they're not here yet but I was wondering if anyone can confirm they'll fit my 998 and possibly the fork hole sizes they'll have as I'm now looking for some forks to go with them I rather have non radial due to having all the bits already and 4pad calipers but if they'll need radial then oh well lol Cheers for any help! Paul
probably ohlins from 749/999 should fit too (although dont know about length) I have a mint and unused pair of 4 pad brembo radial calipers from 999R if you need
Cheers for the replies guys...ive not decided on forks yet but if i go radial ill give you both a shout^^ Yokes arrive weds and are listed as 56/53 so fingers crossed....ive got the 998s so was just going to fit the earlier forks as i have all the correct 4 pad brembos and and lines etc to go with them....guessing i could keep all the same discs etc too hopefully?
some ohlins forks (usually the OEM 996R 998R 1098 1198 etc) need 15mm offset discs, ohlins road and track forks for for the 996/998 use the standard 10mm offset
I'd say you're wrong as these cost £47 delivered and I now have a set of Showa ones to sell with my forks Can anyone confirm the fork length of the ohlins from spindle center to fork top? Found a set but my bikes miles away from me as I'm working away... Cheers again for any help
725mm on a 999R Radial Ohlins, not compressed - i.e. wheel off the floor on an Abba Sky Lift... from spindle centre to top of main full diameter cap...
