1200 Oil Consumption?

  1. Hi,

    Do these beasts consume?
    My dad had a Lotus Cortina that had an official consumption figure (ok a MK 1).
    My boss has a Cayenne that also has a consumption figure.

    Both were shocked when checking oil level, will I when I get my Multi?

  2. Multi engines are normally pretty good for oil consumption, my last 1200 I never had to top the oil between services and I covered over 10,000 miles.

  4. Mine used quite a bit but that cud av been due to con rod through the casing lol, the present engine not used a drop in 1500 miles.

  6. So far after 6k miles: Zero oil consumption! The 1st bike I've ever had that didn't "use" :eek::Cold:

  7. 30k miles and never needs a top up between services.

  8. 20k and no oil added between annual services. Used a bit of water when the heads perforated though ;)

  9. 24k no top up needed between as above used all the coolant when the heads perforated, since changed uses nowt but BP ultimate!
