1299 Oil Filter Bolts - Worth A Check?

  1. I'm in the middle of a oil and filter change on my 1299 and noticed the bolts that hold the filter plate on seem worn at the head end - oddly not the part that would be used when tightened up but the part that would be through the plate itself. I can't help wondering if they've rubbed on the internal threads on the plate somehow - but I can't see how.
Just something to bear in mind when changing the filter people!
I'm tempted to go to the hardware shop and get two replacements there as they're a standard enough size but due to fear of future snags think I'll just wait until I can source some genuine ones - even though they seem to be made from toffee! Maybe that's deliberate so as to be softer than the the casing it's threading into - which seems to be made from chocolate!
