I noticed an oil leak yesterday, drop of oil hanging off my bash plate. When I got back to the bike tonight I noted a few drops on the ground. It is a 2013 with only 6,400km on it. How many others have had oil leaks, and if so, any likely causes?
I have one from the liquid gasket applied to the oil screen filter panel on the sump. I suspect it was compromised as a result of my 600 mile service a few weeks ago.
There can be a problem with the oil filter gasket leaking, check to see if its tight, you may have to replace the gasket, had the same problem after a service.
Had an oil leak on the front cylinder weeping from one of the cylinder head studs, ended up having a new cylinder head, cams and it leaked again... All replaced again...
