Ok so this might belong in tech I dunno but thought get advice quick here and may be time sensitive. We can laugh and my absent mindedness later but for now all you need to know is for some reason I thought it sensible to move the bike after draining old oil without re-fitting sump plug(remember we're making jokes later, just help for now) anyway I've ended up rolling the rear tyre through a bit of oil that came out as I stood it up(was sat 5 minutes) question is can I just wipe it off and take it steady for a while or does it eat in then remain a problem?
Stop worrying - it will be fine - just keep wiping all traces off until cloth/paper hardly gets soiled. like you said though, still take it easy when you ride it next. You could smother area with sawdust if you have any or anything dry and dusty within reason.
Cool, just I had heard tyres are slightly porous for want of a better word and it can soak in. No cat litter but work in oil refinery and there is some good stuff for cleaning up oil in there.
