Oil Temp Sensor

  1. On an S2R1000, where is it please???

    Mine is not working, readout shows '----'

    So I wanna have a look.

    Second question is, do I have to drain the oil to take it out?

  2. You may find the that the lead has just come unplugged. Its at the bottom of the engine on the rhs, just below the oil filler. Have a fiddle around there first.

  3. It's wasn't the lead. It was the sensor, which I replaced for £38.

    Now have a temperature reading. Just waiting for a new speed sensor so I can tell how fast I am going!
