Oil weep 900ss

  1. Not exactly leaking oil but on the underside of front cylinder, the faux socket head screw, presumably blanking a gallery of some kind, anyone here had similar and successfully resolved this? Grateful for help or advice offered.

  2. That screw seals the cylinder oil jacket, if you remove it the oil drains out of the cylinder.

Probably just needs a new crush/sealing washer, I use a copper washer from one of those 'ebay multipacks'.

If you remove the screw you'll only lose the oil in the cylinder jacket, probably around 2-300ml and you can always put it back in the filler.

  3. Thanks, much appreciated. I hadn't realised it was threaded hence "faux", I'd leant on it and it wouldn't budge so assumed the worse, I'll have another go thanks again.
