I'm setting off on a short trip to Portugal tomorrow Armed with my newly acquired Aldi Portuguese phrasebook (£1.99 pocket size,German/Spanish/French/Italian also available) Contains useful translations such as,"Do you have a condom?",and,"This is going too fast for me"....plus the invaluable,"the motorcycle,it will not start" Anyway... Overnight Portsmouth-Le Havre Swift thrash to St Nazaire Overnight boat St Nazaire-Gijon Steady jaunt to Braganca Couple of days of romping round North Portugal/Spain Same route back....hopefully... Back next Monday,("God willing and the crops don't fail",as they sayl)
nice if you can go over the top of the serra de estrela covilha - seia then back down through loriga in fact all the main roads over those mountains are amazing
I'm sat waiting for a flight to Almeria. Going to stay at my brother in laws olive farm. I think I will sleep for a week
I've not done the Gijon crossing before so it'll be a new experience The LD Lines boat to Le Havre puts most bikes right at the bottom,a hot and sweaty climb in bike gear as theres no lift It's LD again to Gijon, fingers crossed it'll be a little easier on that one No real matter, the 10 day forecast for Bracanga is sunny/84f/no rain/light winds....every day! And the Hotel Estalegem Turismo looks very inviting
We're back! A very brief report: Weather: FANTASTIC Hotel:FANTASTIC Roads:FANTASTIC People:FANTASTIC ST2: FANTASTIC As you can probably tell,I had a really, really good time....
A 20 minute video shot by my nephew, attempting to show how much fun we were having This is part of the N103 between Braganca and Chaves Only a bit of it mind, because I think it was about 60 miles each way in total Mostly corners with a few small villages here and there, hence the 70/50kph signs Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi def do not feature in this video But it felt a lot quicker than it looks It'll give you an idea of what it was like, anyway Portugeezers N103 - YouTube
Awwwwwwwwwww........... Why put music over a ducati soundtrack! Glad you had a good time, its great to get out of the UK on your bike.
was only the one Duke sadly, and I doubt you could hear it over the wind noise...not exactly MotoGP production values I'm afraid. and who wants to hear a Gixxer thou being tortured in first and second all the time, while I just rocked in 3rd and 4th.....when I got into it, barely touched the brakes
