Chaps, Get the impression quite a few members of this forum own more than one bike? I have a 93 900 plus a recent Fireblade, in terms of handling and performance lets face it there is no comparison but I actually prefer the 900 as it's more involving to ride, am clocking about 3-4k equally on both each year. Is this a bit odd or am I heading for membership of the VMCC? Do your worst...... Mike
My 92 900ss and 851 are my modern bikes! I'm a member of the VMCC and in 2 years my 'modern' bikes will qualify under their 25 years rule. The VMCC landscape will be very different when its membership is made up of 90's superbike owners!! Will it ever happen?
Pal of mine who owns a newish CBR 600F had a go on my 600SS recently and came back with a huge grin on his face, he loved it and commented that it had some proper soul.
I have a 2000 750 and three 175cc CZ Trails from '72. I also borrow Dads Norton 16h or Ariel VB for a few ride outs each year. There are two types that own bikes, bikers and speed freaks. I think true bikers have eclectic tastes.
I have a 1969 Triton I have owned 30 years....my newest is a Honda RVF400 you can have fun and enjoy or scare yourself on any bike regardless of the age of it.
I've been riding on and off since I was 16, and the newest bike I've owned was my ZZR250, that was still a 91 but a month newer than the duke. I've only had 5 bikes in that time, DT50m, 1955 tiger cub, KDX125 and the ZZR which I had for 9 years, should never have sold it, XXI 4412 where are you know:frown:
