Yay all I'm about to return to motorcycling after a longish break. Always hankered after a Duke but never quite managed it first time round. I am set on getting a 750/900ss, 91-94ish vintage. Not sure if this is the correct forum, sorry if not, but what are the known weaknesses/ areas for improvement for these models? TIA Stu
Haha, kind of. I was a surveyor for many years and '(ted) pylwagl' arose from Type A Dwellg (dwelling). seemed funny at the time and kinda stuck to it Cheers Stu
Hi Stu. I have a '96 carby 900ss. Great bikes, sure they need more attention than most Jap bikes, but they reward you so much. Look on the Supersport section and you will see most of the ermmm......'foibles'. Don't be put off, they are simple bikes to work on and more reliable than you would be led to believe. Main thing to look for when buying one is if or when were the belts changed, but its not difficult to do yourself. Just be prepared that you will after a short time want to start looking at 'improvements'.
