Musing about Monsters (early ones) and larger engines, I wondered if anyone on the forum has had the engine cases of a Multisrada 1000/1100 machined to support a dual sided swingarm frame.
The M1000 has the same Duel Spark ie engine as the Multi 1000 anyway, and is duel sided swing arm. I can even help you buy one: https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/m1000-ie-ds.100353/
Largely driven by cost and availability, you can find a fair few Ugly Duckling MS around, not so many M1000DS
Thanks for the kind offer I am looking for a project myself and the MS1000 engines are a lot more reasonable than the M1000DS. So I was thinking if I could pick up a cheap Multi Strada that would be the start of the odyssey - though a non starter if the cases couldn't be made to work in a dual sided frame. I've contacted Jan Vogt
Yes, the S4 is 916 based I think, with it water cooling and four valves. Being acutely aware of my limitations, I thought I’d keep to the two valves I know best. I think the S2 will again fall into the ‘How Much!!!’ bracket - I’m from the north.
