  3. You won't be able to fit it on you bike on the way back, due to the amount of your posh boy camping luggage.

  7. Decided to wait for the new RX-7V later this year

  8. Without putting a damper on it i had an arai giga years ago and it was crap, it was noisy, the fittings broke, the airflow was nigh on useless and the back visor was nowhere near black. All in all shit. It was a long time ago so i cant ever talk myself into buying nother arai. Ironically at the time i borrowed my mates bike and lid to get home (he had a shoei grv) and that was the total opposite....really liked it. Sorry dave....i did see that one in the arai tent and it looks lovely but i cant bring myself to buy another one....as the first thing i saw was the same type of vent fittings as mine (the giga) which was 20 years ago telling me not much has changed...

  9. I'll never buy another Arai either until they re design the visor and visor attachment pods, they really are out of the Ark now, always sound like they are going to break when your changing the visor and I've actually snapped a couple of clips off the side pods on the last one I had ...so that's £30 for new side pods, only sold in pairs!!
And that stupid sun visor thing that they can't even give away is just laughable, crap design.

Outdated and overpriced now, not a patch on Shoei's, they lead the way in visor and attachment design, very slick and efficient and the way the springs pull the visor tight against the seals is brilliant.

    Rant over...

  10. The sun visor thing a lad at work has on his arai, I do agree, definitely not for me. Im kinda stuck in my ways and stick with simpson. I use an Indy car helmet, which gives a lot of protection (the chin bar is massive), and I believe the snell testing is above and beyond what regular road based helmets get. And proof of the pudding is that my head has been in a simpson everytime ive crashed, the last where I went over the top of the car in a cartwheeling type fashion and my head slammed straight onto the tarmac. Gave me double vision for a few mins but apart from that all ok.

As I say yes, the TT lid looks lovely - its just what its painted onto....
