I had not planned to buy one of these today. I was actually trying to sell my Street Triple R and getting bored with the amount of annoying people on Ebay tell me how much they thought my bike was worth. So, I thought it would be a good excuse to Part X it for something else. One of these... It will have to have a full system... I do like the Termi one but not the price. I do like the SC project but am not keen on the routing of the exhaust.
You're gonna love it. Picked up my Hyperstrada two weeks ago and had the Termi slip on fitted. Sounds great! Rides brilliantly, mega flickable and light. I'm well chuffed with it. Previously had the Multi S Touring but much prefer the HS
i'm looking at one of these from my old multy 1000 give me your honest assessment .i do a tour for a week every year but will be commuting most days on it
Ok. I'm 5'7" and around 11 stone, I found the MTS 1200 too big and heavy - fantastic bike but I just didn't gel with it. I already have a Hyper 1100s with a 22 litre tank and absolutely love it. When they released the HyperStrada (HS) I knew I had to to try it. The guys at Ducati said it was the bike for me and they're spot on . Within a couple of miles I knew she had to be mine . I had the slip on Termi fitted plus top box and heated grips. I removed the screen and fitted the small carbon replacement, also crash bungs + sat nav. By the time I'd finished it cost me 14k - worth every penny. First longish trip will be to the Ulster GP but did 150 miles on it the day I picked it up - fantastic bike. Two things I don't like; a 16 litre tank that will only give around 160 miles, and the front indicators; they're nowhere near as bonnie as my 1100s ones. Very minor niggles really. Early days but loving it so far The ABS and traction control plus the riding modes are impressive and not invasive. These things are not cheap, i guess nothing new is, but an impressive package. My advice? DO IT!! At least try a test ride - you know you want to
Also.....brilliant to commute on. Light, flickable and just makes me grin . With the side panniers there's plenty of room for kit. Bloody perfect all rounder. DO IT
So the Street triple has gone well done you. I still have my Speedtriple but is still sorn and tucked away in the garage. Nearly insured it this week to go for an Mot but the weather has changed again! Oh what to do but I do like your new ride
I am trading the STR in for the Hypermorard. I am swaying for the SP version now though. After seeing the Pikes peak over the Touring and the SP over the standard I think Im in love lol. Just have decide which one im going to pull the trigger on. Each will be awesome fun for the city and beyond.
Yes, I have already given a deposit so have lost many bargaining powers. I did manage to squeeze in a tracker though.
If you get the standard and then look at the extras you soon realise that this is actually "more economical" to get the SP.] So I did....
I wanted the SP, but that was just too tall for me, also had trouble getting on a standard Motard, so ended up with a special order lower hyperstrada, Love it can still only just touch the floor, but once sat on it, fits me like a glove. Liked the Hypermotrad Stealth and so did the missus, but only white or red for the Strada so the Red one it was. (they are the fastest anyway)
Will do. Just ordered the full termi system and heated grips. The great thing is that Ducati Aylesbury will not charge for the fitting of these on a new bike. Result!! Insurance and Gap sorted. Lots of carbon and Evo tech kit waiting to go on. Can't bloody wait!!
