Is an open clutch cover much louder than an OEM cover ? I had a quick look in mine today as it came with a standard pressure plate spare and found this..... Now if the open covers are a lot louder I wont be fitting one and there isn't much point keeping this under cover, if so I'll fit the OEM one and see if anybody is interested in this one..... Cheers
Yeah, they make it LOADS louder, you will be setting off car alarms and annoying all the neighbours. I'll take it off your hands, just as a favour like .
Ha ha you're a good lad.... If only I could find someone to take the carbon bits I don't like off me too
you could just start the engine and make your own decision. The "quiet clutch mod" makes a big difference. Is it a slipper? If so, you can't out the standard plate on.
Open cover plus quiet clutch is the way to go IMHO. That way, the clutch jangles musically when disengaged but doesn't chatter loudly in neutral.
I ride with plugs already due to my open Termis..... It was just a thought as I parked my bike up and walked into work I think I will swap it back and sell the DP pressure plate
Open clutches don't clog up with dust as badly as closed. They run cooler too. The combination means they are less grabby, as well as looking cool...
