Hi all, I have a 1992 900ss which I am refurbishing as standard. My silencers have quite a lot of scratches and marks. Opinion on refurbishment indicates this is not practical as it removes the anodising. So I'd be interested to hear if anyone has an unmarked pair for sale. Thanks, Simon
Hi Zuff, i have a pair of 1992 900 SL standard silencers...if they're any good to you... been wrapped up in the bedroom since 1995 ! and are as good as they were new (ie as new Ducati finish) no scratches or dints... don't know if they fit a 900SS...
If Zuff doesn't take you up on them monsteral let me know, I'd be interested as I'm doing up my MK1 SL. Zuff, I have a set of 'cored' standard silencers if you're interested ? I'll check the condition tomorrow if you like and let you know. If the alloy sleeves are ok you could re-sleeve the ones you have... Ian.
Hi Ian, by all means go ahead and approach Monsteral...your need is greater than mine as I want to stay original. Not sure what you mean by cored silencers??
'Cored' is where the baffles have been taken out of the silencers but from the outside the silencers look identical. I'm not sure what sort of condition they are in but happy to check for you. The idea being, strip yours apart and just replace the alloy sleeves, jobs a good'un [emoji1303] Ian.
I dug those silencers out this afternoon Simon but they aren't great, they both have scuffs and scratches on them. I'll take a few pics of them in the morning and post them up, see what you think... Ian.

Great that you got silencers Ian. Gillan, its kind to offer pics but they sound similar to what I have so please dont trouble yourself. I am probably going to get the pair on Ebay once I have sorted out delivery with the seller
