Over Priced??

  1. Possibly - it's obviously not mint, otherwise he would have said so, and the 600 isn't the most popular ss by any means.

    Probably worth around £1500- 1600.

  2. ..............it is.............to the DD racers, but they have notoriously shallow pockets when it comes to acquiring a bike.......(from what I heard)

  3. Room for improvement on the price, I know. Have had a number of SS's over the years, all of which I've picked up for around £1000. But the first thing I do is spend shit loads of money doing it up!! I was thinking the reverse, buy something that doesn't need much spending on it!!

  4. 1500 at most. With new tyres, belts n fluids service inc

  5. Get a good 750 for that, and not alot more for a 900. I would say it was a £1700 at the most. There's one on the bay at the mo that was £750 starting bid but was for spares or repairs, not sure what it wants doing to it.

  6. Been watching it all day .... but backed out at the last minute!! Would have been a good winter project.

  7. The 750 only pushes out an extra 10 bhp which in the real world it's sod all, so really the values for 750's and 600's are fairly similar especially as Cranker points out the 600's are eligible for the DD racing series.

£2000 is a bit rich, the mileage is also a bit too low, it hasn't had enough use and has probably spent most of its life lanqishing around at the back of someone's garage.

I paid £1100 for mine earlier this year, 24,000 miles, no mods, completely standard and needed nothing, this one is worth around £1500 max. I guarantee it will need some money spending on it they all do!

  8. TBH, to cut a long story short, I'm on a restricted budget this time around therefore with the 600 falling within the cheaper tax and insurance bracket .....

  9. There is only a handful left on the road taxed in regular use, the prices are only going to go up, just barter hard, make sure it's a good 'un and enjoy the runt of the litter!

  10. At the end of the day a bike is only worth what someone will pay for it.

  11. There's a TS50 for sale in PSB for £1995, makes that 600 look cheap now!!

  12. A nice Superlight has just finished on eBay and has only made £3,350. Prices in reality are probably between 10 and 20% less than advertised
