749 Overfuels At Approx 5k Rpm Power Commander

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by DeanF, Jul 12, 2014.

  1. Good afternoon all.

My 749s overfuels at approx 5k when revving at a standstill, Puff of Black Smoke & the tell tale slight MisFire due to this....
now i dont know what map it is running but on the road it pulls well with little hesitation apart from really low speed crawling.... Thinking logically they are a Forced induction system so stood still they will be much richer due to the lack of forced cool air....
    So.... Is this normalish ?
And im thinking of ging for a custom map..... Anyone have any mapper reccomendations in the Stoke / Staffordshire area ?

    Cheers :upyeah:

  2. Why have a powercommader. And use a generic map. Your right in getting a custom map. Make sure it each cylinder mapped separately.

  3. Looks like a v good setup there with plenty of knowledge & info. :upyeah:

    Cheers

  4. Riderz up 'anley way duck..... lol they set my map up when i had a PC3 on and they were very knowledgeable and helpful.... D&K do it but TBH past experience with them i wouldnt bother.

  5. Why not plug your PC3 in to a laptop and find out what map. You are able to adjust via the software.

Or unplug the power commander and try it without

  6. Booked in with Bikerz & also plan to load the software onto my lappie to have a play, im certain my Tps needs a reset !
    Cheers

  7. Don't try to TPS reset using the feature in PCIII you will find your bike won't start.

To TPS reset search JPDiag on the forum.

  8. Lol yeah i meant Bikerz, they used to be called Riderz when they first started up
