Anyone know if there are adapters to allow the use of this paddock stand with the smaller hub bikes aka 998/748 etc. change that huge pin to a smaller one?
I believe that one can buy a smaller pin assembly for DP/Gubellini stands. I do not know where from though.
On my DP one the larger spindle unscrews and there is a small 748/998 version inside... Maybe I have a special one ;-)
The spindle should be held in by a large circlip on the outside of the stand. You can then remove the spindle. You may be lucky enough to get a small bore spindle off eBay. The R&G spindle has the same method of fastening with a circlip but I don’t know if the pin will fit that stand.
I did wonder about that, manufacturers don’t seem to provide the measurements for that end of the spindle.
