I’m after a front paddock stand, the type that goes under the headstock. Does anyone have a recommendation for the 1260?
I've had few stands from here https://www.motea.com/en/mounting-stand-prod/front-wheel-lifter reasonably priced and do the job, I have their headstock stand for my Panigale, it's height adjustable so may well fit my Multistrada too but yet to try it as I have a fork stand too.
I was just looking at that exact site. My bloody fork seal has blown again. 4000 miles. Really? Anyway, I’m not taking it back to Ducati to replace them with shit Ohlins seals. I’ll get some K-Tech kit and hopefully they will last.
I have this stand, bought for my MV but now used with my Multistrada. Needed the 27mm pin. The fact that it's height adjustable is important if using it with only the centre stand as the height needs fine tuning to prevent the rear wheel making contact, lifting the centre stand off of the floor and toppling the bike over.
Of course if you have a centre stand fitted, you can do away with paddock stands, when you need to remove the front wheel just weight the rear of the bike until the rear wheel is firm against the ground, I've often ratchet strapped the rear of the bike down to something solid or to a heavy weight, no stability issues, or even put the top box on with something heavy in it .
I have the Pitbull headstock lift stand - I’ve been using it for my Kawasaki and just ordered the pin/adapter for my 1260s.
