Need a bit of advice... I collect my Hypermotard in 3 and a bit weeks and have looked into a Corse replica. The guy i am dealing with said he can do paint or transfers and clear coat. Has anybody done the transfer and clear coat and which will look best? I am leaning towards paint but he is advising transfers. Any advice or pros and cons?
The transfers should give a neater job imo. If they are readily available, I'd go for that. The only reason I could see for painting is if what you want is a custom job or airbrushing.
Transfers are easier, and should be cheaper. Downside is you'll feel the edges. My painter always paints, even the lettering. When finished its smooth as, and if done well, the job just oozes quality. It takes time though and that means cost. IMO it's a no brainier to go with paint, just for the quality finish, but you have to be sure the guy doing the work is up to it.
