  1. Hi all just bought my first ducati after 15 years on the jap 4,s good points and bad at the moment ,more good and getting better any thoughts on the flat/progressive linkage ? its a panigale s btw cheers all.

  2. Moved to Panigale

  3. Oh, hello and welcome by the way

  4. I have put 3000 miles on my Panigale since March this year and initially I felt that the rear was very stiff. Over the past month the suspension seems to have loosened up at the back and the sag seems to have increased. I have kept mine on Flat as it seems to have got better or maybe just me being used to it

To change to Progressive is a pretty easy job which can be done at home.

  5. yes kwak have changed mine to progressive ,it holds a line much better in flat but was to stiff ,may go back and try again, doesn't seem enough weight on the front to me

  6. Ordered progressive - like to think I need flat but in reality unless all your riding is in the fast group on track then you probably dont need it.

  7. A lot of guys on a dedicated 1199 forum made the switch from F to P. I would suggest that more than half have moved back to F. I have never tried P but had a pro suspension set up by Ducati Coventry, am on F and love it. I am heavier than the average person, however, so perhaps that makes a difference. I am not a fast rider on the road but sometimes could be described as "progressive".

  8. The thing is some manuals say progressive is for 2 up riding and flat for track so whats single riding on the road ? ducati dealers wont commit ,I suppose if your happy wi set up doesn't matter what its on,

  9. P should bring best of both worlds on the street... looser in the short knocks, bit stiffer in long sweepers and at the end of the travel.. if your a heavier bloke, P can compensate the schock being undersprung without having to revert to changing the springrate... for the track i didn't like it as it seems the bike wallowed more, creating a vaguer feel at the front...
