1199 Panigale R Rcs Master Cylinders

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by cookster, Sep 30, 2024.

  1. Hi guys I need some more bling on the panigale , I was looking at just new levers but then thought about full master cylinders both clutch and brake, can you use the brake one and keep the abs as standard?? Can I use all the original brackets or do I need new ones??

    Thanks all.

  2. Abs yes, you can keep it.
Brackets. Probably need a new reservoir bracket both sides and banjo bolts (Brembo have a different pitch to some bikes and normally supply a banjo to fit). You might have to change the brake switch connector supplied with the m/c too.

  3. I don't want to mess with the wiring side of things or do anything permanent.

  4. Easy to sort mate and if it does need changing you are only changing the brake switch connector on the Brembo lead not the loom.

  5. RCS is fairly straightforward. It has a brake switch fitted. Banjo is a straight swap as you already have the correct M10 x 1 type fitted to the stock master.
Reservoir mount is easy enough with the Brembo kit available or mod your original.
The only twist is that the switch gear is too wide to get optimal position for the lever position. I used a new switchgear that replaces the clamp for the master cylinder. I used Jetprime, although others are available.
    I’ve added a couple of pictures of the assembly on a V4 we’ve just done IMG_0276.jpeg IMG_0275.jpeg

  10. You can get throttle housing with the switchgear built in from jet Prime and Ducabike etc. So you dont need a seperate switch. Im using a BikeSportDevelopment (BSD) switch myself (good quality). I have a corsacorta RCS17. The reservoir bracket may need a tweak but theres lots of products out there for those.
