Panigale R Wiring

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Niven770, Aug 21, 2013.

  1. Hi,
A quick question that hopefully someone can answer.

Is the Panigale R ready to equip the shock potentiometers, i.e. ready to just plug them in.

The reason I ask is that the "kit" sold by Ducati also includes brake pressure sensors but the data from the "R" DDA+ already supplies the brake pressure.

This leads me to hope the wiring loom may already be in place to accept the suspension potentiometers. It seems a right pain to fit the complete setup if not.

  2. If the stuff is in the DP catalog ( Ducati) then it will fit and plung into right away.. if it is in the CORSE catalog, then it won't... the SSTK ECU/BBS/DASH/LOOM/SENSORS system is different from the street DP system .... DON'T MIX IT

    Thanks for your reply.
This is the kit that turns up wherever I look (SSTK I guess). As you can see it fits all Panigale's. The kit includes the suspension potentiometers but also includes brake pressure sensors.
Looking at the data on my bike, brake pressure is already recorded. Therefore I am really wondering if the "R" already has "some" of this kit fitted as standard? or where the non SSTK stuff is available from as I cannot seem to find it.

  4. to be sure :

i guess that is the kit any dealer can get from DP.. only race teams can order from Corse. now your dealer can be a race team ( Rapido - Manchester - JHP ... just ot name a few) so can order from Corse...

DP seems to name this the Corse set, but it actually seems to be a Ducati product. if so it is freely available at +/- 2500 gbp... :(

i'm not sure about the brake pressure sensor though ... i've never seen it mentionned but can't check on the DDA as I don't carry the stock matser cylinder...

    nice tail unit ... :)

    grtz

  5. Thanks again,

I'll ask the dealer next time I'm in. It is expensive and that's why I'm hoping that I already have some of it and just need to plug in a couple of potentiometers.

I agree about the tail unit :) wish I knew her
