Hi All Odd one, and @El Toro @Ducbird if this is in the wrong place let me know. Does anyone in or near Reading have the tools needed for rear wheel removal that I could borrow ? Beer tokens on offer. Alternatively can anyone point me in the direction of decent but not stupidly expensive kit to buy to solve the same problem. Thanks all. Dibs
55mm socket and a large breaker bar, if you can lay your hands on some scaffold pipe to provide more leverage you're onto a winner.
When I had to remove mine recently due to a terminal puncture on a 200 mile old V2 I found the rear wheel only just comes off with a flat tyre, refitting with a new fully inflated tyre required the rear caliper off too to refit. Prolly due to the design of the std V2 Exhaust. Akrapovics going on at the 1st service so should be better in future. 55mm Multipoint socket is what you require, torque up to 220nm then further tightening till the spring clip homes align. Should end up at around the 235nm in theory!
Just to be sure you mean Panigale V2? If so you don't need to take the caliper off at all. You can get it on with the silencer in the way, it's just a faff, instead just remove the 2 or 3 bolts holding the silencer end piece on and take it off. It's just a decorative cap really. I've done this multiple times so trust me
