I'm not one for trying to make things look like something they're not but I really like the look of the cosmetic styling of the Pani 'R', I think it makes the bike look more interesting without going overboard. My bike already has the 'R' style logo's and stripes on it and I'm looking to have the shoulders and spine of fuel tank sprayed to give an aluminium look similar to the 'R'. I know a well respected local bike sprayer and airbrusher who can undertake this, and he has asked from what material the tank is made, as apparently it makes a difference. I know the 'R' itself is all aluminium but does anyone know what the 'S' models tank is made from? Cheers. Jason.
Cheers guy's, I did read something myself but thought they were just getting mixed up with the R's tank. Might look into getting it stripped back bare.
Like you I have ordered the white Ducati Corse side fairing logos as I think it breaks up the wall of Red. I was told last week they are still on back order, so I guess it’s a popular modification. I haven’t ordered the other front and rear swoosh’s though, not yet anyway !
Yes they look good. I got the logo's in brushed aluminium rather than white to match the bikes existing logo's but you're right they do break it up. I bought mine off ebay. I don't know how to post links on here but if you go on ebay and type item no. 281111095711. into the search bar you'll find them.
Interestingly I asked if they do them to match but was told only in white, I like your idea of brushed aluminum instead of the OE white, I just got back from dropping the Fireblade at the dealership, they have an open day so wanted it in time for that. I have to say it was hard walking away leaving them to wheel it into their showroom. My pani is ready and waiting for collection next week, the Corse stickers are still on back order so I might see if I can cancel and get the ones that will be a better match. By the way, the ebay item number has now changed to 271261562980 Thanks for the heads up.
To be honest I didn't realise the stickers on the 'R' were white not having ever seen one in the flesh but having non matching white corse stickers with the brushed aluminium ones already on the bike would have played havoc with my OCD so them all being the same has worked out well!. From my experience Ducati are pretty good if you return things, my other half bought me a comfort seat for my birthday ( put one those on your shopping list, after a few miles your buns will be crying out for one, that is if you haven't already slipped of the oem seat! lol! ) and she was told if I didn't like it she could return it no problem (I loved it!). Heres a pic with stickers on my bike.
Looks great Jason. LoL…OCD… I drive my other half crazy. I have emailed the dealer asking if I can cancel the OE white Corse stickers and also order a comfort seat, you’re the third person who has suggested the OE seats in horrible, I was going to see how I got on but as I have already accepted that owning a Ducati is going to seriously impact on my retirement fund, I might as well just do it and be done with it, and don’t even got me started on the carbon I have already ordered !, then it will be the foot pegs, and then………. I spent a shed load on my blade getting it just how I wanted it, but this is going to be a whole new level.
Hmm... yes carbon!. I think that's a side effect of Ducati ownership. I've put a few bits on mine but as soon as I fit one bit I find another that needs replacing with carbon. It's an addiction!!!!.
