V4 Panigale V4s - Test Ride And Got The Bug

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Wasey, Aug 5, 2022.

  1. So, as per title I took my V2 in for a quick service the other day and took one of their V4S's out for a spin. Didnt have too long as got about 8miles away and turned round due to the rain and managed to beat the rain back.

But the thing was soooo good. I didnt think i would enjoy the power increase and difference anywhere near as much as I did so just trying to get things lined up to place my order.

Question is, they say the build schedule will be October/November - with the supply shortages ive seen on friends cars and alike, how realistic is that?
Just want to know if it will be here for next March (I am a summer rider only) so a delay isnt a problem, if i allow an expectation of 5 months delay is that enough? Be gutted if its longer than that.

Any recent purchasers of other models on order, any insights be good to hear?

  3. I wouldn't worry, you'll still have your V2 I assume in the meantime and who'd want a shiny new bike sat there in winter, that's just torture.

In an absolute worse case scenario I'd bet they'll be a few '22 V4's up for sale anyway so you could probably bag a low mileage slightly cheaper bike if you cannot wait.

  4. I also tested the V4 s whilst my 1299 service being carried out, recently. The bits of the ride my bike does not like, lumpiness at slow speed, and some suspension bumps, the V4 S does well with. Will need an early Saturday test ride at faster speed on quieter roads to see what it's like compared to mine then. This is where my bike excels. Also the V4 is at least twice the price!

  5. Can’t comment on a specific V4 order but I’m still awaiting my V2 which I ordered in January.
I’m told it will be September but not holding my breath.
