Hi, I have a decatted 2018 1260 MTS with a ducati-approved termi exhaust system. I am planning on doing some longer touring trips next year and would like to fit ducati panniers to my bike. The potential issue I have is that the termi exhaust/end can is higher and wider (needs a different pillion footrest to hang it on) and it is not clear whether it would foul with the RH pannier. Measuring various clearances on a MTS with panniers and a standard exhaust system has still left me unclear whether this would be an issue or not. So my question: does anyone have experience of fitting panniers to a 1260 MTS with this exhaust system?
Was on a trip to the Dolomites with a few 1260s in the group. At least two had the Termi full exhaust, rather than the slip on silencer, though one of those was just running a top case. The other I'm confident had panniers too... @kartman
I have the full termi system, 1200 mile round trip to Le Mans this year no issues with heat or fouling the panniers, however I believe that a different rear hanger was fitted with the exhaust.
I have full system on 1260 PP. Panniers fit with no issues. I’d use the db killer though as I fried a standard number plate on my 1200S multi through Germany. Didn’t have an issue in UK but being at 120+ for a while just melted it. The db killer was enough to deflect the heat away and stop it getting worse. Got a smaller plate when I replaced and no probs after that.
Hello, I have a full Termi system too and standard panniers fitted - no problems at all. Two months ago went on a 2,000+ miles trip through Europe, no problems at all. Hardly reached 120mph however with no db killer fitted had no issues with the plate (but you can see the back of the plate is no more white if compared to the left hand side bit).
