Pannier liners

  1. Hi all,
has anyone has any experience with pannier lining bags? Seem a good idea for keeping your belongings dry. Plus look better than bin bags!

  2. Have had a set since I bought my 1200s and they have been through some shi**y weather including a very wet MotoGP round at Le Mans and never leaked. Added bonus is you can just pull out the bags leaving the panniers on the bike. Andy

  3. Depends on how big your panniers are when I had a gsa I used cool bags from argos waterproof fitted well easy to take in and out cost about 20 quid for 4
. Still use them on my ducati with old wing rack panniers but not such a good fit. I am cheap though. Also ikea.do some zip up travel type bags all didn't sizes ideal for folding up clothes and stuff in. About 16 quid last time I bought some.

  4. I like these!

Use them on lots of bikes. Keeps all your kit tidy and slip over the shoulder when going in the hotel. Don't have to try and carry panniers along with your helmet etc.

Mine may be up for grabs soon if I go for the Diavel in April.

  5. A worth while investment

  6. I have the DP pannier liners and they work well except the right hand side one with the cut out for the exhaust. I've put a cover over this cut out and use it store tools, first aid kit, breath kits, rubber gloves, wet wipes, tissues etc. that stay on the bike. There are also in the corners which I stuff spare gloves, neck tubes etc. which I may need during the day.

There are lower cost pannier liners on Amazon for £46.99.

I also have the top case and liner. I use Eagle Creek cubes to organise clothes etc. in the liners. I use small Exped dry sacks for stuff in the tank bag as it can get damp inside.

The liners definitely look better than bin liners when you carry then into a hotel :)

  8. Did anyone else glance at the title of this thread and read "panty liners"?

  9. Done Europe many times and I wouldn't go without them.
Main advantage is take all luggage to room and panniers are empty for your helmets / jackets.
