1200 Enduro Pannier Mounts And Top Box Mounts Question

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by robm422, Oct 20, 2016.

  1. Hey, new guy here,
Does anyone know if the pannier and top box mounting brackets are the same on the on the standard multistrada and the enduro? I have the mts enduro and looking to find some on ebay, and its easier to find them for the regular multistrada.

  2. No, they are different.
The standard MTS top box bracket design is different and the box mount is givi monokey
As for the panniers, Enduro using Touratech bracket, the standard MTS uses givi mount on bike frame.

  3. Right on, thanks for the info!

  4. The Touratech rack on the Enduro however hangs from the built-in pannier mounts so, if that were removed, wouldn't standard DVT panniers fit?

  5. A question I had a discussion about in a dealer, they were looking into it, it seems all the same for panniers to slide in on the frame, just need to add the extension with the rubber grommet from the Exhaust, and rear peg hanger, think the question was regarding the exhaust though, just got to get one and try it

  6. That was my understanding - I'm having the converse discussion, about fitting the Touratech rack and panniers to a standard DVT.

  7. I have my own panniers and top box from another bike, I'm going to modify them to work with whatever mounts. Just looking to save some money. The ducati/ touratech mounts are expensive. I did find some givi mounts made for the enduro that are more affordable, i'll probably order those.

  8. Were the Givi mounts you found for the top box or the side panniers. I have the Enduro with the Ducati branded touratech panniers and I'd like to fit the Givi monokey top box that I have on my other bike has but cannot find a compatible mounting kit.

  9. I have a brand new Enduro with standard DVT panniers and monokey ducati topbox fitted. I dont like the rack and the alu panniers also to expensieve.

  10. My Enduro came with the tpuratech
Update about the above. I spoke to my local dealer who made some enquiries and supplied all the brackets required to fit the Givi mount.

Whilst it all seemed straight forward there is one single problem. The touratech frames have a cross brace which is in line with the supports from the top box mounting plate. The touratech top box support braces are shaped differently from the Givi ones to avoid this, unfortunately they don't match to the Givi top plate, so basically you can't mix and match touratech panniers with Givi top box using OEM fittings. At least you can't just now.

The (quick) answer came by the way of some flat bar, paint and longer bolts.
