Can't see the BSB construction regulations permitting the use of the WSB exhaust system, too much software intervention controlling engine braking. Andy
WSB system improves midrange so pressume this does the same. Longer overall tuned length for torque. They had bellypan cans reverse exit before to achieve similar results.
As previously posted, the WSB exhaust has flappy valves to regulate exhaust back pressure and engine braking. I might be wrong but I thought BSB technical rules would prohibit this. Andy
My gut feeling is PBM went to Ducati this year knowing there will be a V4 next year. That said Shakey is starting to make the Panigale work very well.
The official reason is that Birdy wasn't happy with Kawasaki's input to other teams when they were supposed to be the only factory outfit. But there may be other reasons as well, usually is.
