hi guys i got a question about a power commander for a 996. will the power commander 3 work to tune the entire range? i ask because on the ducati streetfighter 1098 with the PCV i cant because my DP ecu is still in closed loop. on the 996 i got termi end cans and racing eprom. actually i got another question. how do i tune the entire range on the streetfighter? i was told i need O2 eliminators. but which one? any advice? thanks a lot.
Closed loop won't apply to your 996 as it does not have lambdas. If you have the DP ECU fitted to your SF1098 then both the Lambda(s) and the EXBV will be disabled. You can test for this by disconnecting the Lambda(s) the EXBV motor from the wiring loom by unplugging them and you should not get any MIL's on the dash. You don't need O2 eliminators, you need to remove the Lambda(s) and use 18mm plugs to replace them. Choice is yours then. Get the power commander setup on a dyno or have a custom map done on the ECU.
i tried time ago...but i got the check engine light. i think people told me right about o2 eliminators... thanks for the reply anyway...
