Pcv Inputs Help

  1. Hi,

Bike details: 848 2008 model, silky pearl white, loves the track, hates the roads.

losing my mind trying to find some basic info. I have a PCV installed currently running off the throttle position sensor and main basic settings.

I want to add a speed input so I can get the gear selections working etc.

    My two questions:

what diameter wire should I be using to connect the speed input to the PCV?

Where is the speed input located on the bike?

Any recommendations on wire splicing connectors?

I realise that’s three questions but the last one is more because I have some wire splicers that I don’t trust.

  2. Think I managed to find the the speed input off the sensor on the back wheel, ordered two splice connector types, one t-bar and one posi tap. Will see which one looks best. Also order two thicknesses of wire, will check the voltage running off the wire use the most appropriate one.

  3. Had a choice of two connectors, t-bar or screw type. Went with the screw type and found the speed input. All wired in, next step is to calibrate the PCV software for the gear ratios.
