  1. Folks, I've decided to get a PD oiler.
    Should I get the mini?
    Or the standard mk3 one?
Anyone fitted either of these and if u have can u send some instructions as to where u mounted the bits please.
    Pics would be even bettererer

  2. I’ve had a PD oiler on my 749 for about 8 years, fantastic bit of kit,
I connected it up the the battery and the running light so it turns on at the key.
I routed mine to oil the chain at the front sprocket makes it very tidy and almost invisible, I run at setting 2 to 3 and it fine.
Mine is the mini version and I’ve been through France and to Italy and back and no need to add oil still plenty left

  3. Many thanks for the reply. The front sprocket sounds like a good idea, I wonder why noone else has suggested that approach.

  4. With the front sprocket I get virtually no oil fling on the rear rim.

I drilled a tiny hole just the diameter of the oiling tube at the top of the sprocket cover and used silicone to fasten the tube inside the cover so the oiler drips onto the chain as it leaves the sprocket. This also allows you to hide the tube on the inside if the trellis frame tubes.

As the oiler itself is a motorised pumped controlled drip you can hide the pump/reservoir almost anywhere on the bike

  5. Very useful, I've ordered the pd oiler so will have a look at that option, many thanks for your help
