A month or so ago I posted a comment that I was considering going back to a BMW GS. This morning I have been out on my Multistrada and I did 100 miles from Bristol, around Salisbury Plain and back. I must have been crazy to consider selling this bike and if I again consider it I want someone to come around my house and wrap me in a straight jacket, lock me up and throw away the key. The Multistrada if a far better bike than the GS and I am only a sunny day old fart. Sport mode frightens the hell out of me so it was Touring mode today and usually Urban. Yes I would like better wind protection but that's my only complaint. The screen I have is much better than standard but it not perfect but I do not exactly tour the world in all weathers. It's just an easier bike to ride and manoover around. So its booked in for the 1 year service and its staying with me.
Yes indeed. I'll be surprised if anyone comes up with a package as good as the Multi. I do like the Triumph 1200, but the MTS is so nimble.
Just ignore the voices......and get yourself down Exmoor way.....it will then become apparent what your bike is for
Took my MTS off road today, to a very limited extent (easy gravel track and grass). But I was quite surprised how ok it felt, quite manageable and well balanced on the pegs. It's no KTM that's for sure, but it more than makes up for it on road.
You might want to play around with the Sport mode a bit. The power delivery is more linear and can make going around sweeping corners much smoother. If its head buffeting, try the Wunderlich screen extension.
Just in case the worst does happen, i can teach you how to get out of a straight jacket,(no joke), but only if you'd promise to return to Ducati. Glad to hear you wont be needing my help any time soon though. Well done.
