When I opened my garage today I was greeted by the smell of petrol. 100% sure its the bike never smelt it before and ive only had the bike 3 days.I've had a quick look and there is no sign of a leak is it normal for these to hum of fuel?
another job to add to the list. strange it doesnt smell while in use only when left overnight, if it had carbs id think the floats were sticking
Check round the back of the fuel tank (lower, just behind the rear hugger) there, is the fuel pump. When the seal goes capiliary action almost draws it out....could be coming from there, unbolt the fuel pump cover and check in there...
I speak from personal experience when I changed the fuel filter on mine.....The fuel pump seal costs about 30 quid.ish though just so you know.
