Philip Island SPOILER

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by bradders, Feb 23, 2014.

  1. Well..........

Top dog Laverty bangs in Suzukis first win for something like 95 races then blows the bugger up! And the Ducatis seemed to be leaps ahead of last year (altho still down on top end?!) or have the rest been pulled back to theirs and Suzukis level...shames about Lowes :(

Supersport bit of a farce in the end, but great 5 lap dash. Shame Kev C miscounted laps, reckon he'd have had a crack at the win but 2nd good result

    6 week break now...

  2. Great racing. The only negative was James Whitham, he is too close to all the riders to give constructive views and his "he he he" laugh is really annoying, so that's my Philip Island spoiler.

  3. I like Witham... Apart from his 'freight train' comments... Give it a rest!

  4. you need that like a third armpit...

  5. Y'day Whits said 'if it were me, theres 6 weeks til the next round so I'd be having a proper go, knowing I have time to heal'

T'day Whits says 'they'll just want a nice solid finish, with some hood points, and no one wants to leave injured with a collar bone or something, thats no good'

Altho tbf they have a lot of time to fill....and he's clearly not a fan of Melhandri!

  6. there was much to like... a great scrap amongst the top 8 .. and Ducati kept up pritty well .. .. guintoli will be hard to beat .. if the engines keep up ... :) .. this is going to be a different year.. and couldbe pritty exicting.

  7. Yep some great racing today. I was chuffed to see MV take a win in SSp even if it was at Kev couglans expense.

  8. I don't mind whitham but I do find his commentary a bit dross for WSBK.

bsb is kinda different, it feels local and he sounds 'local', but he just sounds wrong for WSBK.

  9. any Buells finished yet?

  10. buell have the balls to join the party.
Every team has to start somewhere.

    So thanks buell, good effort

  11. Where's big jack, I much prefer him to Steve Day. It was good to see five different manufacturers in the top five positions (at one point) and great to see Crescent Suzuki win a race after such a long time.

Shame there's now a six week drought.

  12. yeh I never quite understood that, I mean Dorna are all about saving money so if the teams have all flown half way around the world why not run a race in Asia in two weeks time or something, there's plenty of tracks and it makes more sense as they're all over there.
