Might already be covered on here but we received a phonecall today claiming to be from our broadband supplier. They has detected a virus on our computer, would we let them have control remotely so they could sort it. We asked which provider, they said 'yours' we asked them to clarify which one and they came back with Virgin...wrong! never have been! It is likhhe never giving account details over the phone or in an email, don't give them control of your computer either.
Its a well known scam. Once inside your computer they have access to all your account password/details. Sometimes they try to make you pay for the privilege too! As you say DD, tell them to fcuk off.
