1199 Pics Of Carbon Pillion Seat.

  1. So. My pillion cover and I got off to a rocky start and it ditched me on the way to work. Ive posted in 'wanted' for a new one but was thinking of getting a carbon one.

Apart from a close up, I can't find any pics anywhere of a carbon seat cover on a red 1199 anywhere. Either on here or Google.

Does anyone have any pics of one fitted so I could see what they look like?

  2. Horico, sorry to hear that. Exactly the same thing happed to mine on my 899. Only had it 2 days. You really have to push down hard on them to locate in locking mechanism.
    Sorry no carbon pics.

  3. There's plenty on evilbay or try looking on Carbon Conquests' web site, one of the sponsers on here

  4. Same thing happened to me on my 899. Cost of a respray is £120 when a new one is only £140. I'm thinking of getting my vinyl wrapped. Doubt I'll find anyone to colour match the vinyl so will prob have to go carbon look.

  5. It's a bit crude but this is my answer, tie a piece of string between the cover and bike. :Cigar:

  6. Great minds....
The problem with this is that the cowl will bounce against the body work and cause some extra damage, more expensive to repair than replacing the cowl itself. I'm going to use short cable ties, so I can just get my hand in.
